Answers to the questions buyers ask first about EIP.

This page answers the most common questions about what we do, how we predict turnover, what we need from you, and what it costs.

Start here

Why is EIP different?

EIP is the only workforce intelligence company built on both proprietary, field-tested technology and a Council of operators who have solved this exact problem before. We assess what you already have, show you where the problems are, and give you data you have never seen. We are a trusted third party that has done this before.

Do you need access to our HR system?

No. We do not need an API or any integration, and we never need write access. We built EIP for companies that may not have a full HR system. We tell you exactly which fields we need. Send them as an Excel file or a download from your HR system, through our secure portal. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and deleted 90 days after the engagement ends. For healthcare clients, we work under a Business Associate Agreement.

How much time will this take from our team?

Minimal. One person sends us the data. If you choose Honest Read, one person also helps schedule time with a few selected people. We do the heavy data work so you do not have to, and we give you only what you need.

How the score works

How do you calculate the Flight Risk Score?

Each employee gets a 0 to 99 score for the next 90 days. The scoring is custom to your company and typically needs only 19 behavioral variables in four weighted buckets: manager engagement, compensation, tenure in the position, and job frictions. We draw on up to 20 data sources and over 80 available variables, and what matters for an office worker differs from an oil rig crew or a warehouse driver.

How accurate is it, and how do you validate that it is working?

The score is not a yes or no prediction, and it is not the odds someone quits. It ranks risk so you know who to talk to first and what to raise. Here is how we check it. We backtest the model against people who have already left, when that history is available. Then we track it against your current team. Within 90 days, you can see how many of the people the score flagged actually left. In the industries we already serve, we start from strong baselines, and the model improves with every update as we add data. In a pilot, we start with a small group, so you can compare its turnover with the rest of your groups.

Data and security

What data do you need from us?

We need specific HR and payroll fields, listed for you, sent as a spreadsheet or a download from your HR system through our secure portal. We do not need access to your HR system directly. See the question above on system access for how we handle your data.

How secure is the data?

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest on Amazon Web Services. For a free pilot, we ask for anonymized data, so you can remove names, addresses, and employee ID numbers, and results come back by code and group, without names. In a full engagement, we split your data into two files. In the first, every employee has a unique code and no name. We do our analysis on that file as a blind study, and our Council of advisors sees only coded information. A separate file links each code to a person. Only three members of the EIP team can see it, all under NDAs, and our Council members are also under NDAs. We use names only where the work needs them, such as Honest Read interviews and listening sessions. We do not share client data with third parties. Amazon Web Services stores it under the encryption described above. We never need write access to your systems, and we delete your data 90 days after the engagement ends. For healthcare clients, we work under a Business Associate Agreement. SOC 2 Type I is in progress, targeting Q1 2027.

Results and return

What is the financial impact?

Turn Tax prices every departure across 13 cost categories and over 250 variables, using your own numbers. We identify over 3x your fee in savings and show you how to capture them.

What do we do after the tool finds a problem?

The Council turns the findings into a prioritized roadmap in 30 days. We show you the lowest-cost fixes first, and often the fix costs nothing. You decide and you fund. When a fix needs outside help, we shortlist two or three vendors and help negotiate pricing and terms. Ongoing advisory is part of the packages.

Who sees the results, and what can managers do with them?

Access to the Flight Risk Score tool is limited to a few key people you choose. Everyone else gets the output, not the scores. A supervisor does not see scores, their team's or their own. They see who to talk to and what to say, with tap-to-action options to call today, schedule a 1-on-1, or flag to HR, in English and Spanish. Executives see the KPI Dashboard, filtered by company, region, department, and manager. In a free pilot, results stay anonymous and come back by code and group, without names.

Fit

How is EIP different from our surveys, engagement platform, or HRIS?

Advisory firms sell judgment without data, and analytics platforms sell data without judgment. We built both. Our score comes from behavioral and payroll data, not surveys, and a Council of operators who have solved turnover in their own companies interprets it and recommends the fix.

Can this work for our workforce and problem?

We work with three kinds of turnover risk: constant churn, one costly departure, and roles slow to fill. Turnover can look low on paper while knowledge loss is costly. New industry? We run free pilots.

What does it cost?

For companies with 1,000 or more employees, we price under $1 per employee per day across three packages: the Diagnostic, the Partnership, and the Embed. The exact quote depends on headcount and scope. We identify over 3x your fee in savings and show you how to capture them. At times we will recommend outside specialists, and we have a vetted list of companies we love if you need them.
